Naturally embedded throughout the experience, the 7 Habits for Equestrians are based on the original best-selling book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey.
Take charge of your horse. Take charge of your life.
Have a plan for your ride. Have a plan for your life.
Prepare before you ride. Work before you play.
Remember your horse’s needs and your own. Remember, everyone can win.
Listen to your horse first. Listen before you talk.
Become one with your horse. Work well with others.
Nurture your horse. Nurture yourself: body, heart, mind, and soul.
