Journey to Confidence

Journey to Confidence

Aubrie Christensen's journey of hope, confidence, & resilience can be traced back to her time at Bridle Up Hope!  We had no idea that through the program of "The 7 Habits for Equestrians" that Aubrie would really find herself and the confidence to become who she is today.  Aubrie started the program when she was just 12 years old.  She was very shy and trying to figure out who she was.  She had always loved horses, and just needed to build confidence in riding them. Thanks to the amazing horses and Aubrie's instructor Macey, who really helped her navigate and work through the challenges of Jr. High and the ups and downs with friends, life, etc.  Aubrie took so many lessons to heart, "she believed she could so she did" and especially the surprise 8th Habit "Find Your Voice, and Inspire Others to Find Theirs".

After the program, Aubrie found her love and passion in Rodeo Queening and Rodeo. She started trying out at rodeo queen competitions as a way to find more friends, and she loved the service opportunities to serve the communities.  Aubrie also barrel races, and competes in rodeo queen competitions though High School Rodeo.  Through a lot of hard work and determination Aubrie was honored to be crowned the Utah High School Rodeo Queen! She went on to represent Utah at the National level and competed at Rock Springs WY in July 2024. She competed with 40 other girls from all over the nation and Canada. She was crowned the National High School Rodeo Queen on July 20, 2024.   She feels so blessed and is excited to be an ambassador for the sport of rodeo and the western way of life across the nation and really wants to help inspire others that with hard work and determination, dreams really can come true if you “win from within”!

Aubrie is an honor roll student at Timpanogos High School, where she played on the tennis team for the last 3 years.  Aubrie is also the President of the Timpanogos HS FFA chapter. Her future plans are to attend Snow College and pursue her education in equine science. She is currently interning at Rocky Mountain Equine in Springville, Utah. When Aubrie isn’t riding her horses, she can be found drawing or hiking in the beautiful mountains and red rock canyons of Utah.

Prior to being crowned at the Utah High School Finals Rodeo in Heber City, Utah, in June 2024, Aubrie also enjoyed serving on the Lindon Days, Pony Express PRCA Rodeo and the West Haven Days Rodeo royalties in Utah.  She also currently holds the title of the 2024 PRCA Strawberry Days Rodeo Queen for Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Aubrie believes it's not about the crown, but about serving the community and sharing her love of rodeo, celebrating and educating others of our western heritage, and promoting her platform of "Soft Hands and a Kind Heart."

Thank you Bridle Up Hope for the priceless program that gave a little 12 year old girl the courage and confidence to become the beautiful young woman she is today!
