My therapist recommended Bridle Up Hope to me, knowing my love for animals would provide solace during my difficult divorce.
Signing up for the program filled me with excitement and nerves, unsure of what to expect, especially since I had only ridden a horse twice in my life. Yet, the moment I joined up with a horse, the feeling was truly awesome. Thanks to Joyce, I gained the confidence to trot on horses, something I never thought possible.
Completing 10 service hours between yoga and women’s service, the barn became my happy place, introducing me to many new people. Each habit taught me something different, guiding me through the challenges of the moment. Bridle Up Hope helped me rediscover myself and reclaim my identity. Thank you Bridle Up Hope for helping me find myself again, and become me again.
My favorite habit was number 6, focusing on Synergy. During this week, I had the opportunity to ride bareback and practice yoga on the horse, a moment I eagerly anticipated. Working with Winston, I felt an immediate and special connection. He responded to me effortlessly, making yoga on his back a serene experience. With encouragement from my instructor Joyce, I challenged myself further, standing all the way up on Winston, not once, but twice.
Joyce’s unwavering support has been instrumental in my progress, and I look forward to booking her for my free lessons. Without her encouragement every step of the way, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
